Tuesdays are soap making days for me. Even when we have beautiful days like today. Since it is so nice out, I decided to make another Castile Soap. I used a bit of clay to help anchor the scent. The scent that I used is a blen of Thieves oil I made. They say it helps reduce stress, reduces inflammation, helps heal skin, and strengthens respiratory system. It is a blend of clove, rosemary, lemon, eucalyptus and cinnamon bark essential oils. This scent blend comes from a 600 year old recipe. I used some activated charcoal for its detoxification properties. This one should be a great mild soap.
On my last trip to Windy Point, my husband chose a Black Cherry fragrance. It smells so sweet like real cherries! I did a color faux funnel pour, with a bit of a spin.
After the pouring, I spun the mold a bit to swill the soap a bit, then drizzled the left overs on top to swirl with chopsticks.
I love the swirls, a well balanced blend of the 3 colors. The dividers are inserted and it is done.
A beautiful Summer Soap!
